about
“Do dreamers ever really sleep?”

Amanda Eufer was born and raised just North of Dallas, Texas. Her designing and creative thinking began at an early age growing up in the world of competitive figure skating, where presentation, femininity, and an abundance of crystals and sequins are no joking matter. Watching her mother create all of her costumes, Amanda was fascinated how fabric could be transformed into something so beautiful. Her mother fostered the interest and began teaching her about sewing, materials, and patterns inspiring Amanda to begin sketching her own costumes, shoes and accessories. As she grew older, Amanda continued to sketch and design, quickly realizing she wanted to turn her passion into a career.

After graduating high school, Amanda began her journey to become a designer enrolling into Oklahoma State University’s Department of Design, Housing, and Merchandising. Amanda began the program with a class of over eighty students and was one of ten remaining that graduated with a B.S. in Apparel Design and Production. Following her success in college, Amanda was awarded an internship with Marc Jacobs, gaining invaluable experience and reaffirming her need to be in the beautiful chaos that is fashion. Amanda focused on garment and accessory construction as she learned the ins and outs of the industry. Amanda currently resides in Brooklyn, New York designing jewelry and accessories for her own line.

Amanda finds inspiration from a diverse collection of artists, designers, and history. Amanda enjoys taking design risks by incorporating a menagerie of vivid colors, bold statements, and flashy items which are a direct reflection of her own artwork and designs sporadically displayed around her studio. On the other end of the spectrum, Amanda is infatuated by fashion of the late 1920’s and 1930’s that embraces the sexiness, elegance and beauty of the female silhouette. While reading vintage books, and construction techniques, Amanda instantly developed an affection for ruffles, laces, sheer fabrics, and delicate crystal accents perfected by Dior, Laurent, Vionnet, Chanel, Schiaparelli, and other masters of the craft. Never short of a notebook to sketch ideas, Amanda continues to incorporate her own talent with the styles of designer icons that have come before her.

“The beauty, the lines, the sexiness of women is very powerful in vintage design. You can see their stories in the garments and accessories, which I like to push myself to expound upon.”
